APPLICATION
INSEE Mass Pour is a high quality cement, specially developed for mass concrete applications in large infrastructure and high-rise projects. The low heat of hydration of INSEE Mass Pour significantly reduces the risk of thermal cracking in massive concrete elements. This is especially important in structures such as large foundations for high-rise buildings, tower pile caps for bridges, tunnels, dams and large quays.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF INSEE MASS POUR

 
The TCVN and ASTM standards use different test methods: values are not comparable. You can obtain recent test certificates of INSEE Mass Pour upon request.

STANDARD SPECIFICATION FOR CEMENT

  • Low heat cement is compliant with ASTM C1157 type LH or TCVN 7712:2013 type PCB LH 40 to avoid thermal cracks
  • During hardening of the concrete element, the temperature in mass concrete. Two factors below should be controlled not to occur simultaneously:
    - Temperature different between 2 points ∆T> 20oC  
    - Gradient ∆T/m ≥ 50oC/m
  • The maximum temperature in mass concrete is lower than 70oC
